Tajikistan: Second President Says about Threat of Water Wars in Central Asia

More and more leaders of Central Asian states support the forecast of Islam Karimov, President of Uzbekistan, on a threat of wars due to water deficit in the region. Thus, at the international conference Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, said that over recent 50 years water consumption has increased almost 2-fold. By 2030 this index will grow by 15-20%, which can initiate conflict situations.
