Colombia: Applied Climate Scientist

We are looking for a climate scientist with special emphasis on seasonal climate forecasting for agricultural applications. This person will lead research and operational activities related to seasonal agro-climatic forecasting in Colombia and other Central and South American countries at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), Decision and Policy Analysis division. Specific projects where substantial contribution is expected include the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) funded “Tailored agro-climatic services for decision making”, any activities related to the Partnership between CIAT and the Ministry of Agriculture of Colombia, as well as the USAID-funded Climate Services project in Colombia.
