The UN Joint Programme “Tamkeen” works in cooperation with the European Union’s broader Financing Decision on Women’s Empowerment in Egypt. // The UN Joint Programme “Tamkeen” has the three-pronged focus of enabling women and girls’ leadership, enhancing their socio-economic empowerment including access to green livelihoods and mobilizing private sector, and the prevention of gender-based violence against women and girls including harmful practices. Digital inclusion and ensuring sustainable, climate smart approaches are key strategies used throughout the UN Joint Programme.
