EcoPeace Middle East is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists. Our primary objective is to promote cooperative efforts to protect our shared environment. Our projects focus on transboundary environmental issues, water security, wastewater and renewable energy, and target youth, local communities, decision-makers, the private sector and the international community. The Good Water Neighbor (GWN) Project involves a nationwide strategy that responds to changing local realities and geopolitical climates, progress made on key strategies and new opportunities for regional and national cooperation. Building on EcoPeace’s strengths and two decades of programming, the program advances out-of-the-box development plans with activities designed to broaden an understanding for the need for cooperative solutions among Palestinian, Jordanian and Israeli youth and young professionals. With the objective of encouraging young people to support concrete environmental solutions and become agents of change for regional cooperation. We are hiring an Education Officer to join our team in Tel Aviv. Job Description: 

  • Lead the Good Water Neighbors Water Diplomacy program for young professionals in Israel
  • Lead the ShaRED Water Zero Plastic education program in Eilat
 Responsibilities Include: 
  • Work closely with colleagues in Jordan and Palestine to develop the programs and lead sessions
  • Content development and mediation of Water Diplomacy training for a group of 25 young professionals
  • Project management ShaRED Sea: Build partnerships, develop content, recruit and manage staff in Eilat region. Lead on budget, content, work plan and more
 Requirements: 
  • Proven experience in project management – building work plan, budget, content development and execution
  • Informal Educational Program execution experience - Design, planning, running and reporting · Willingness to work in the region and travel to Jordan
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (fluent English and Hebrew)
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Positive, creative “can do” attitude, great problem-solving skills
  • Team player – Enjoys and thrives in a team environment
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Previous knowledge of negotiation tools – and advantage
  • Previous experience in climate education – an advantage
