LSE is looking for an outstanding individual to provide leadership in developing the growth and international standing of the Centre for Women, Peace and Security. The Centre for Women, Peace and Security, founded in 2015, is dedicated to policy-relevant research, education and engagement to promote justice, human rights and participation of women in conflict-affected situations around the world.

This next phase of the Centre’s development calls for a skilled advocate to provide intellectual and strategic leadership and further advance the Centre’s programmes of policy-relevant research and cross-sector engagement. The post-holder will be appointed as Distinguished Policy Fellow.

They will have significant, recognised expertise and either a PhD or equivalent professional experience in the field of women, peace and security and in conducting relevant research–based and policy oriented analysis. They will have a track record of outstanding quality research-based policy relevant outputs, high level engagement activities with policy audiences and a strategy for the Centre’s future research, engagement and impact activities. A track record in raising funds is essential as is experience in providing intellectual and strategic leadership and team management. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Whilst this post is advertised on a full time basis, we would be happy to consider part time, job share and other flexible working arrangements.
