Myanmar: Tenants Threaten to Protest over Land Dispute with Tatmadaw

Tenants on eight acres of land in Yangon are threatening to hold a protest if authorities do not act on their plea to stop the Tatmadaw from reclaiming the land, the tenants said in a news briefing on Monday. The 25 tenants on the disputed land located in the 15th ward of South Okkapala township have asked the authorities to grant them ownership of the land at reasonable prices.
