Monrovia — Citizens of Quardu Gboni District in Lofa County appear to be relentless in a vigorous campaign aimed at persuading lawmakers in the lower house of the National Legislature not to concur with their colleagues in the Liberian senate who ratified a concession agreement between the Government of Liberia and the Liberia Cocoa Company (LCC).

On Tuesday, a group under the banner 'Quardu Gboni District Citizen Association presented a petition to Lofa County District #4 Representative Mariamu B. Fofana, calling on the lawmaker to lobby with her colleagues in the House of Representatives to nullify the LCC agreement as the citizens are claiming that the sole intent of the agreement is to snatch away their forefathers' land which will lead them into perpetual poverty.
