Vietnamese fishing boats clashed again with Chinese coast guard vessels in the disputed South China Sea on Nov. 26, four months after China withdrew its oil rig, reports overseas Chinese-language newspaper Duowei News.

Two Vietnamese fishing boats were reported operating in the Paracels, which are currently under Chinese administration but also claimed by Vietnam. Chinese coast guard vessels soon appeared and began to drive the Vietnamese vessels out of disputed waters with water cannon, even ramming the fishing boats. Eventually, the Vietnamese ships were boarded and the ship interior as well as equipment was damaged and destroyed.
