The Executive Director of Innocence Project Africa (INPA), has requested the intervention of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf in a controversy surrounding a disputed land within the vicinity of the Roberts International Airport (RIA) between the Geegbeh/Bestman Family and the Government on one hand, and between the residents of Gbewe, Fahwein and Barriene Towns and the Government on the other.
In a letter dated July 11, 2014, addressed to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Counselor Sayma Syrenius Cephus said the title deeds of over 2,400 acres of land in the RIA area and its environs given to the RIA management by the Land Commission should be regarded as "fictitious and it's a complete fantasy."
