Nansibon jade mine is situated at about 30 miles from Hkamti township in upper Sagaing Region. It was demarcated as Hkamti Gem Area by the government in 2011. As many migrant workers have been entering into Nansibon village to work as jade miners, the Ministry of Home Affairs had to declare a new village tract named Shwe Pyi Thar after merging Nansibon, Mya Kyun Tha, Chaung Tha and Latha villages.
