The Land Commission (LC) has adopted new measures to fast strike the settlement of land disputes outside of court proceedings with the establishment of Land Coordination Centers (LCC) in six counties.
According to the Chairman of the land Commission, Dr. Cecil Brandy, his Commission reached the decision to establish the LCC following series of consultations with stakeholders across the country.
Dr. Brandy noted that the coming into being of the LCC was aimed at finding an alternative resolution mechanism to settle land disputes since the Land Commission (LC) does not have adjudication powers.
