Khartoum - In accordance with the governmental directions to increase minerals production as a method to support the general Revenues of the state, the ministry of minerals began to implement an accelerated program to increase gold production and other minerals to fill the gap of oil loss after South Sudan's secession in 2011.
Although, there are many challenges facing the ministry, notably Sudan losing part of its oil revenues after secession, increment of public mining and how to organise it beside how to balance it as a public economic activity and the state's commitment for the companies which track technical and scientific procedures.
