Conflict Minerals: Massachusetts Considers Reviewing Purchasing Policies Related to Congo 'Conflict Minerals'

A bill sitting on Gov. Charlie Baker's desk would require the administration to review the state's procurement policies and issue a report on policies related to products that contain mineral resources from Congo and the surrounding countries. The Legislature passed the bill, S.2463, Tuesday. Baker has 10 days to review it and decide whether to sign it into law.
