Timor-Leste: Timor-Leste Urged to Diversify Economy

New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) information shows the country is in danger of running out of money due to the decline of its oil industry and government overspending. Similar warnings have come from Timor-based NGO La'o Hamutuk. Timor Leste, formerly called East Timor, was ushered into independence by New Zealand's biggest military effort since the Korean War.
