Sierra Leone: Sierra Leone News: Rutile Falls but Sierra Rutile Tops 2014 Production

Of the five (iron ore, diamonds, rutile ilmenite, zircon and bauxite) heavily mined minerals in Sierra Leone only two (ilmenite and zircon) were able to meet their target for 2014.

For the period January to November 2014 African Minerals which targeted 17million DMT, (17,036,974) was only able to produce 15,680,531, which is 1,356,443 less than the FY2014 target.

The Company (African Minerals) stopped operations in November 2014 so could not reasonably complete their production target.
