Cambodia: Protesters March Against Land Grabs on World Habitat Day

Despite the presence of barricades and riot police, more than 1,000 evictees, human rights campaigners, land activists and Buddhist monks celebrated the 30th annual World Habitat Day in Phnom Penh on Monday. Rights groups say the government has failed to give compensation and prevent the victims of forced evictions from being dragged into poverty.
