Myanmar: Protest against Myanma Gems Bill-2017 Held in Hpakant

A protest against the Myanma Gems Bill-2017 yesterday was held in Hpakant Township, Kachin State jointly organized by Kachin National Congress-KNC, Kachin Democratic Party-KDP and  Kachin State Democracy Pary-KSDP.The protest aims to amend the Gems bill which will bring the benefits for the residents and protesters also chanted the slogans such as “ To enact newly Gems bill”, “ No mega mining plots”, “To control heavy machineries”, “To stop 24-hour use machineries”, “To issue gems license to the citizens”, “To clean environ” and “To keep safety for jade hunters”.
