Kurdistan’s bid to escape the Iraqi government’s lawsuit to recover more than 1 million barrels of crude oil stranded off the Texas coast should be thrown out, the Iraqi government told the Fifth Circuit on Monday, claiming the tanker and its disputed cargo are now long gone.
