Myanmar: Locals Demand Compensation for Confiscated Lands

Nearly 200 locals staged a protest in Yinmabin Township in Sagaing Region on December 29, demanding compensations for the lands confiscated by Myanmar Yang Tse Copper Company. The protestors marched from Kankone village to the office of Myanmar Yang Tse Company. In addition, they also demanded the supply of water from Chindwin River, for Kankone village.
