Cordaid and the Ministry are concerned with the plights of the communities impacted by oil extraction in South Sudan. Albeit endowed with significant reserves of oil in three of its northern states of Upper Nile, Unity and Jonglei, the three-year-old independent Republic of South Sudan is yet to make its citizens enjoy its sovereign dividends of oil production.
