Kenya: Ngilu Now Accuses Cord of Land Grabbing

Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu has lashed out at Cord for linking top government officials to the Sh8 billion Karen land-grab scandal, terming the politicians “known land grabbers”.Ngilu singled out Siaya Senator James Orengo and his Machakos counterpart Johnstone Muthama, saying they are currently embroiled in multi-billion-shilling land scams.The CS said Orengo presided over the irregular allocation of 500,000 acres of land in Lamu when he was Lands minister and has no moral authority to speak about land issues. Orengo denies any Lamu wrongdoing.
