International media have reported that at least 42 people were killed in eastern Chad following clashes between two families over a water source. Associated Press reported on Monday, April 27, citing Limane Mahamat, deputy prime minister, that the incident occurred in the village of Igote, in the Wadi Fira Province, near the border with Sudan.
