Farmers in western Bago Region have demonstrated over a lack of response from the authorities to their request for returning land they say was seized by the military to extend a golf course.
About 20 farmers who say they were affected by the seizure took part in the protest on July 13 outside the golf course near Ti Twat village, on the outskirts of Pyay.
They included U Kyaw Win, who said the land totalled 70 acres (about 28 hectares) and was seized to extend the Thayekhittaya (Sri Ksetra) golf course in 1996 and 1997.
