Myanmar: MP Submits Urgent Proposal for El Niño Preparedness

A parliamentary representative from the Union Solidarity and Development Party submitted an important proposal to Lower House of Parliament yesterday urging the Union government to take precautionary measures against global climate change and the potential impact of El Niño in collaboration with relevant ministries. The proposal was submitted by Lower House MP Dr Maung Thin, who represents Meikhtila constituency, and supported by MP Thein Tun of Kyaunggon constituency.
