Myanmar: Japan plans to import organic produce from Myanmar

Japanese firms are planning to import organic rice, crops and vegetables from Myanmar, officials said Friday.

During a meeting with U Myint Hlaing, Union Minister for Agriculture and Irrigation in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, a Japanese trade delegation discussed expansion of growing organic rice, fruits and vegetables as well as organic egg production for export to Japan, where organic produce are high in demand.
