Oil production from the Kurdistan Region’s oil fields is set to resume next week, with an initial output of 200,000 barrels per day, according to a member of the Iraqi parliament’s Security and Defense Committee. The announcement comes after an Iraqi security delegation visited the Kurdistan Region and met with Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. Following the visit, Baghdad officially announced an agreement to provide security guarantees for oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region and protect them from attacks by Iraqi militias and neighboring countries.
