In recent days, there was a hullabaloo among the public on the suspended Myitsone Dam project after the statement issued by the Chinese embassy in Myanmar. The Chinese embassy’s statement issued on January 13 mainly focused on the Myitsone Dam project already suspended for seven years, which is one of the obstacles in smoothening out cooperation between China and Myanmar.
