The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a major operation this week to secure the main roads that link the governorates of Hama and Deir Ezzor, along with Al-Raqqa and Homs. The operation was specifically targeting the areas where Islamic State terrorists have been wreaking havoc over the last few weeks.
