Liberia: GVL, Citizens Reach Agreement

Citizens of Butaw Administrative District in Sinoe County have reportedly reached an agreement with Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL) for the expansion and development of land in the area. The agreement, which was reached over the weekend followed over three years of negotiations between the citizens and the Management of Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL). At a news conference held in Monrovia Monday, Deputy Internal Affairs Minister for Administration Varney Sirleaf termed the agreement as a "win win" situation for the citizens and the company.
