Afghanistan: Research Farms Build Foundation for Afghanistan’s Agriculture

The agricultural engineers at the Urdo Khan Research Farm, one of 10 regional research stations across the country owned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL), are conducting research to produce breeder seeds appropriate to local conditions in the country. AAIP is providing technical and financial support to MAIL to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of these farms through capacity building and improvement of relevant infrastructures. The project receives funding support from the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF).
