Iraq's Basra Oil Company is hoping last-minute reinforcements to burst berms north of the 115,000 b/d Majnoon oil field will fend off increasing flood waters that have entered the area from nearby Iran. At least four wells have been shuttered by rising water levels or out of precaution, two senior Basra Oil Company officials told S&P Global Platts Wednesday, though other wells were activated to compensate.
