The National Association of Manufacturers (Nam) has called for the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Congress to reexamine conflict mineral reporting requirements. Its comments were made in response to a concept release, initiated by the SEC earlier this year, on business and financial disclosure requirements for publicly traded companies. According to a notice in the Federal Register, this is part of an initiative "to consider ways to improve the requirements for the benefit of investors and registrants".
