Liberia: Indicted for Corruption

The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) has indicted 10 persons for corruption in connection with their alleged involvement in a US$40,000 bribery offered to members of the 52nd House of Representatives as 'lobby' fees.The money was allegedly given to the representatives as inducement to ratify oil contracts entered into between the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) and several companies.
