Honorable Chair, distinguished delegates, in 2023, conflict-linked environmental degradation continued to exacerbate the world’s humanitarian, economic, and security crises. Yet the environmental dimensions of conflicts and military activities remain insufficiently addressed by the international peace and security establishment.
