Myanmar: Land-Seizure Bill Contains Compensation, Resettlement: MP

The bill regarding land seizure contains clauses for giving compensation and rehabilitating people who have lost their land, says an Upper House MP. Ba Myo Thein, also chairman of the Upper House’s farmer affairs committee, said: “The current law mentions compensation. Our bill includes rehabilitation and resettlement.”
