Afghanistan/Pakistan: Pakistan Plans Water Treaty with Afghanistan

Afghan and Pakistani experts are expected to meet soon to exchange water data and the hydrology of Kabul and Kunar rivers, a news report said on Thursday. Pakistan and Afghanistan share nine rivers with annual flows of about 18.3 million acre feet (MAF). Kabul river accounts for 16.5MAF and Chitral for about 8.5MAF.
