Myanmar: Tatkon Farmers Protest over Land Grabs

Farmers from Tatkon Township staged a protest on September 3 over land that was taken from them by the military to set up defence industrial zones, among other purposes. About 80 farmers from Thabyaykone, Natmar, Kuntaw villages in Nay Pyi Taw’s Tatkon Township walked from the Tatkon agricultural research farm to the local football grounds holding posters.
