Myanmar: Substandard Water Firms Suspended

Drinking-water brands that violate good manufacturing practices have been suspended, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). FDA officials launched a surprise inspection on four firms in Hlaing Township, Yangon, on August 1. The officials discovered that the firms failed to meet the standards and suspended their licences for two weeks to one month.
