Join an extraordinary journey in the Costa Rican cloud forest that integrates conflict resolution and leadership training in the context of natural resources via a unique multicultural outdoor experience. Using proven experiential learning techniques, the Practicum on Experiential Peacebuilding: The Environment (PEP-E) is the latest opportunity from our successful PEP program for working professionals and students to get out of the office/classroom and take their skills to the next level. Course Objectives:
· Learn, practice, and apply leadership and peacebuilding skills in an experiential wilderness context.
· Explore the environment as a foundation for peace through 10 days of living and hiking in the Costa Rican cloud forest.
· Receive a certificate and engage in training through a joint program with the United Nations-mandated University for Peace.
