Water, People, Agriculture: PhD Scholarship Information

The application is only possible by completing WPA’s PhD scholarship application form, which can be down-loaded here. Besides the application form, the documents indicated in the application form are required.
Applications will only be accepted, if the research proposal is based on one of the research themes suggested on the “List of research themes” from WPA webpage.
WPA will confirm the receipt of all (complete) applications (i.e., if an application is not complete or not in the above described format, WPA will not consider it and will not confirm receipt of the application).
Scholarships of the Anton & Petra Ehrmann-Stiftung research training group are based on a monthly payment rate of 1300 Euro for a max. period of 36 month. Higher rates will depend on the personal situation of the applicant.
The selection of the candidates will be in March 2014, the program will start in April, 2014. All accepted applications will be selected according to the following criteria:
1. Fulfillment of announcement criteria (cf. “Admission” and “Application”);
2. Quality of proposal and project feasibility.
For all pre-selected candidates, WPA will look for a supervisor at the University of Hohenheim. Only after a professor of the University of Hohenheim has accepted the candidate, s/he will be ultimately selected by the WPA steering committee and invited to join the WPA PhD scholarship program.
Deadline for scholarship applicaton is 01. March 2014. The selected applicants will be contacted no later than March 31, 2014.
