Request for Qualifications: Humanitarian Assistance Thematic Window, DRC

Feb 10, 2014 | International Initiative for Impact Evaluation

International Initiative for Impact Evaluation will soon issue a Request for Qualifications from researchers for proposed impact evaluations of humanitarian assistance interventions in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The impact evaluations are being commissioned in conjunction with the Humanitarian Co-ordinator's Common Humanitarian Pooled Fund.

This Request for Qualifications has been postponed to the end of March 2014. We will be seeking applications from researchers who are qualified, experienced, and able to conduct impact evaluations in the context of protracted humanitarian crises with special focus to DRC. These include efforts to improve recovery and resilience of people in humanitarian contexts.

The Humanitarian Assistance Thematic Window aims to generate evidence on quality and durability of outcomes of humanitarian assistance.

Selected research teams will assess the feasibility of impact evaluations of humanitarian interventions in the following areas: water, sanitation and hygiene, food security, and multisectoral programming. Research teams will prepare high quality impact evaluation proposals which will be submitted to IIIE and the DRC Common Humanitarian Pooled Fund.

Selected teams will need to work closely with the Common Humanitarian Fund and its implementing partners in DRC.
