Seeking Perspectives on Issues of Gender, Peace, Environment, and Sustainable Development

The National Women’s Network in Colombia is seeking individuals who would be interested in engaging in a dialogue of experts and others investigating the possibilities of action at the intersection between gender, peace, environment, and sustainable development.

The Network is a national alliance formed 30 years ago, which participates in processes for the guarantee, promotion and defense of the rights of women in Colombia. Currently, this work focuses on four lines of work:

• The right to a life free from violence
• The right to political participation of women
• Sexual and reproductive rights
• The participation of women in the construction and maintenance of peace

The Network is interested in identifying and connecting with experts who have worked in developing methodologies for the analysis of gender-based violence associated with natural resources in conflict zones or high-crime zones, and for analyzing gender-based violence throughout the chains of illicit economies.
