Environmental Peacebuilding Association Engages the Environmental Law Institute to Serve as the Secretariat
Aug 27, 2018
The Board of Directors of the Environmental Peacebuilding Association is pleased to announce that the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) will serve as the first host for the Association’s Secretariat.
The selection recognizes the substantial contributions that ELI has made already in establishing and building the Association, as well as ELI's extensive work partnering with practitioners and researchers to establish and maintain the Environmental Peacebuilding Knowledge Platform, the Environmental Peacebuilding Community of Practice, convene the Al-Moumin Award and Distinguished Lecture in Environmental Peacebuilding, and coordinate a global research project on post-conflict peacebuilding and natural resource management, among other efforts.
The Environmental Peacebuilding Association is dedicated to bringing together researchers, practitioners, and decisionmakers working on environment, conflict, and peace. The Association actively engages its membership by providing opportunities to meet, exchange, and work with others through Interest Groups, its upcoming international conference in October 2019, and other means.
