In collaboration with the Colombian human rights non-profit La Comisión Intereclesial de Justicia y Paz, EIA invites you to learn about the devastating impact that the growing palm oil sector in Colombia has had on the local communities of Mapiripan, Colombia. This brief documentary, “Between Water and Oil Palm,” shows evidence that Italian-owned palm oil company Poligrow Ltd. has forcibly displaced local farmers and damaged the water, land, and wildlife resources upon which the Jiw and Sikuani indigenous peoples depend for their livelihood.
