The purpose of assessments are to help facilitate the peacebuilding process by identifying early on the impacts, risks, and opportunities in a post-conflict area. Choosing a context appropriate type of assessment is a crucial element to the overall. Outlined in the infographic are the different components involved in assessments. Assessments are vital as they have the potential influence policy decisions. Assessments propose action plans or programming opportunities that would advance the post-conflict state towards the pathway of recovery, resilience, and peacebuilding.
