An estimated 5,464 families have been affected by floods, rain, heavy snow and avalanches in 104 districts in 21 provinces. A total of 212 people were killed and 69 people were injured. 999 houses were completely destroyed and 4,116 houses were damaged.  Close to 2,500 families were affected by flooding in the eastern region. 70% of those reportedly affected are in Nangarhar province.  More than 1400 families were affected by heavy rainfall or snow throughout Parwan province; close to 650 of these families are in Shinwari district.  A spike in pneumonia cases was reported in Warsaj district, Takhar province.
