A letter published recently discussed the lack of attention to ecological grief, how Filipino youth are vulnerable such kind of grief, and proposed relevant ways to address this and ultimately contribute to environmental restoration. The current paper proposed that environmental defenders in general, and those in the Philippines in particular, are a largely neglected population not only in the discourse on ecological grief but also in the context of loss and trauma.
