Nancy Peluso delivered the Sixth Al-Moumin Distinguished Lecture on Environmental Peacebuilding on “Landscapes of Violence and Peace: Resource Frontiers, Smallholder Territories and other Mobile Sites of Struggle.” Following some remarks about patterns and approaches to studying environmental violence in armed conflict and how these have changed in time, she addressed resource frontiers, smallholder territories, and mobilities through the lens of political ecology.
