The Wilson Center will be hosting an event on water security in the Middle East, and how regional leaders are approaching better water management practices. These practices aim to promote cross-border collaboration and become a potential platform for peace. EcoPeace Middle East has worked to promote practical solutions to transboundary water scarcity and pollution across The Jordanian, Palestinian and Israeli borders for decades. This event will feature EcoPeace’s three co-directors - Gidon Bromberg, Nada Majdalani, and Yana Abu Taleb - who will share their experiences using water diplomacy to improve livelihoods, create healthy interdependencies, and enhance regional stability. The discussion will also identify opportunities for progress on water issues within the peace process and the important role of the United States in fostering regional water security and stability.
Organizer: The Wilson Center
When: November 15, 9 am - 11 am
