The second webinar in the "Global Security Initiative" series, this webinar will focus on localities or "hot spots" where there exists a convergence of climate vulnerability, state fragility and/or strategic significance, and where advanced preparation based on decision support would lead to more resilient decision making. In the climate context, sub-national governance is the front line of risk mitigation. Governments, businesses and civil society actors that operate on this scale, in each of these key regions of the world, will need to find ways of connecting information about climate risks to solution pathways that will increase resilience, security and economic vitality. Webinar focuses on regions/nations vulnerable to climatic shifts with security consequences and of strategic significance. Panelists focus on actions to ease the situations or address the threats (or unveil unintended or nonobvious consequences).
The webinar will be held on Monday Oct 26, 2015 from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM EDT
